Technical Requirements

What are the minimum system requirements to operate KenTrade?
To ensure optimal performance of the trading platform, your computer should have the following minimum requirements:

1 Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8400 Processor (3GHz, 6MB, L2 Cashe, 1333MHz FSB)
2 Operating System Windows® 7 Professional SP1 32 bit (English)
3 Memory (RAM) 2GB (1x2GB) NECC Dual Channel DDR3 1333MHz SDRAM Memory
4 Hard Drive 320GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive with 16MB DataBurst™ cache
5 Browsers Internet Explorer 9 and above for Full Features Safari, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox for light version
6 Display Settings Screen Resolution: 1280 by 800 pixels is recommended
7 Internet Connection Speed Fast internet connection speed
What are the required settings in browsers to ensure smooth running of KenTrade?
1. Switch off pop-up blockers
Please turn off the pop up blockers to enable system cab files download and allow pop-up messages in KenTrade.

  • Window IE: Launch IE menu > Tools > Click on “Turnoff pop-up blocker”
  • Chrome: Settings>Privacy > Content Settings> allow pop ups or make KenTrade as exception
  • Mozilla Fire Fox: Tools > Options > Content > Uncheck Block Pop-up Windows
  • Safari: Safari > Preferences > Security > Uncheck Block Pop-up windows


  • You may view online tutorial on how to switch off pop-up blockers.

2. Compatibility view settings
  • For Window IE, add kentrade.com.my in Compatibility View Settings

4. Computer PC Language and Time zone
  • Please set pc language to English and time zone to Malaysian time zone.

5. PC browser administrative rights
  • To download system cab files, please ensure you have the Administrative rights on your PC.

What need to be done during first time sign in for Window IE platform?
Upon signing in, you will notice a message “New version of Cab Files available for download” by the system vendor Excel Force MSC Berhad. Click Ok to install the system cab files as per online instruction.

For users who operate from office environments, the access to KenTrade server may be blocked by your company’s network system (firewall). Should that be the case, please approach your network administrator for assistance.
